Welcome to IGNITE Virginia Beach
Virginia Beach is the eastern most city of the seven cities of Hampton Roads Virginia. This beautiful resort town has miles of protected beaches along the Atlantic coast where the Chesapeake Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. This city is in the Guinness Book of Records for having the “longest pleasure beach and longest bridge-tunnel complex in the world.” Va Beach has 11 high schools and 14 middle schools. The area has a high concentration of military families.
The Virginia Beach City Public Schools has a student population of about 70,535, with a socioeconmic status of about 16%. This population is comprised of:
